The Regions of Equillon • • • • • • • • • • Overview of the Regions • • • • • • • • • • Equillon is separated into 4 different regions. Those regions are: central, northern, western and southern and represent the terrains found in this beautifully dangerous world. The transition into each region from the central region is a subtle transition. Most herds don't tolerate outsiders trespassing so make sure you know exactly what you're doing.

The Central Regions • • • • • • • • • • The Central Regions, more commonly known as No-Man's Lands is where you will find all of the lands that are not owned by anyone. These lands hold uncertain fates of all kinds. All kinds of horses come through here from the good souls to the black at heart equines. The lands here are primarily grasslands and meadows with clear ponds and lakes for drinking. The only land that lacks and greenery is the Barren Lands. Each region has one common ground and that is the fact that they are all connected to the Central Region. Manuka Fields is connected to the Wandering Souls Valley which is the only land not associated with any region. It is located in between the Northern and Southern Regions. It is where all outsiders come and enter the Manuka Fields. From there you can make your way to any other territory.

Northern Regions • • • • • • • • • • A land covered in vast amounts of forest and mountainous terrain. Not an easy region to live or navigate in. The vegetation is thick and the sun only shines through the gaps int he leaves in the trees. There are some nice and safe places to find water and then there are stagnant water pools that can be hazardous to your health. The more north you go the more mountainous it becomes. It isn't a home for everyone. Only horses accustomed to altitude changes, mountain terrain, and forest terrain can safely live here.

Southern Regions • • • • • • • • • • The Southern Region is one of the more laid back and calming regions, but it has its moments of uncertainty. The ocean's currents can be unpredictable at times especially during a storm. Also, the farther east you go the hotter and drier it gets until the land suddenly become dry as a bone and your in the eastern regions. It's herder here to find drinking water than in any other region of Equillon. It does exist but only in shallow pools that sometimes get bigger when it rains. Life here gets deadly during droughts. Some horses have even been known to sneak into other regions to find some water and food because when the drought comes the grasses die quickly. The grasses are sparse but the grass that is there is lush and grows quickly in certain areas. The Barren Land overlooks the eastern-most part of the southern territory. Many equines try to avoid its shadow because they feel the souls of those who have fallen from the Barren Lands still live in its shadow and the sand is tinted red with their blood.

Western Regions • • • • • • • • • • Perhaps the easiest land to live in. It shares a large and rather oddly shaped lake with Manuka Fields. There are trees every once in a while large enough to give shade. The only real harshness are the large gusts of winds that roll through sometimes and it is easy to catch fire during a dry-spell. During the fire it is hard for the inhabitant to find a safe place to go. If they are strong swimmers they can swim the lake to get to the central regions. Or, if they can find it during the panic the small land bridge connecting the Western Regions to the Central Regions. That land bridge is the only real way to get in and out of the Western Region without risking going into the Northern and Southern Territories.
